Earthquake in Haiti

As most have probably heard, Haiti was devastated by a massive earthquake yesterday evening. We are only beginning to see images of the destruction and aftermath. The coming days will see immediate need for aid to sustain life. From what I remember/have heard, Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. MMCC has a relationship with Haiti's neighboring nation, the Dominican Republic. In other words, these are our neighbors and they are laying on the side of the road needing help. I know many of you would like to help. We partner with Food for the Hungry in our relationship with the Dominican Republic. Food for the Hungry is one of the most solid relief organizations in situations like this one. We can give directly to those in need through FH. As a church, we will be giving to Haiti through FH. Because you give to MMCC, we are able to give as a community to relief in Haiti.
